As with many artists I love the confinement and isolation that enables me to create, but I also find it necessary to venture into the world and experience all that I can, it is here in this place that inspiration for me as an artist is born. My experiences provide fuel for my imagination, my skill, and my craft. I love using power tools to cut and shape my oversized puzzle pieces which have become my signature works. I balance things out with painting portraits that challenge my artistic skill regarding realism. Sometimes in between I break out the hot wax and work the physical aspects of creating an encaustic piece. In my studio I work on multiple pieces bouncing back and forth with time for reflection as I jump from one piece to another. Sometimes I feel like paint runs through my veins and that is Who I am and it’s all good!
